Football games: exhilarating, stressful, memorable, tiring. What are they not? Attending your school’s football games is a staple event of the college experience. There’s a lot that goes into attending a college football game. Students are basically obligated to arrive at the stadium three to four hours early to find a decent seat. Fall weather is unpredictable, so you could be sitting in those metal stands sopping in sweat, or shivering in the bitter wind. But…so worth it! Am I right?

Actually, though, it’s worth it worth it for the game, the friends, the memories. But also worth it for the one-of-a-kind food options offered at most college football stadiums. Of course, there’s always the basic hot dog and popcorn. But we’re here to show you the most unique and well-loved dishes on the menu at some of the most renowned college football stadiums. Here’s our top 10.

1. Porky Pete’s Primetime Player BBQ Sandwich
University:
Purdue
Stadium:
Ross-Ade

A gloriously oversized pork tenderloin paired with Polish sausage, pulled pork, pork burger, and bacon is any meat lover’s dream come true. Top it off with some coleslaw and onion rings on an onion roll, and you’ll send yourself straight to BBQ heaven. Available at all concession stands.

2. Domer Dog
University:
Notre Dame
Stadium:
Notre Dame
Notre Dame’s signature “Domer Dog” offers a fun twist on the classic hot dog. Along with Chicago’s Eisenberg dog, its brioche bun is home to caramelized onions, blue cheese, and crispy bacon bits. Second on the menu is the Domer Dog’s rival, a twist on the dog characterizing whatever team Notre Dame is playing that day. To give you an idea – when Notre Dame played the Navy, their rival dog featured lump crab sauce, roasted corn, green onions, and an Old Bay aioli. I wouldn’t know whether to stay loyal to my school or opt for the tasty Navy-style! Find Domer dogs in sections 7 and 17 of the stadium.
3. Cougar Tail
University:

Brigham Young

Stadium:
Lavell Edwards
A beloved staple amongst students and alumni alike, BYU’s trademarked Cougar Tail is a legacy of a donut. Invented in 2003, the 15-inch donut bar is fluffy and warm, slathered with a creamy, rich maple glaze. Try the famous Cougar Tail for yourself at various vendors throughout the stadium.
4. Breaded Steak Sandwich

Oregon State’s famous beer-braised bratwurst can be found at Benny’s Bites Stand in Reser Stadium.
